One Week Til Demo

Not even sure if I've entered the correct date, time just rolls by here on Union Lido. Not much to report, I'm afraid, and the fact the keyboard is so stiff and hard to use, makes writing anything elaborate difficult.

Covered in mosquito bites and looking like a complete hobo/tramp, I have finally sorted myself out and look half-presentable (I happened to look in a mirror this afternoon and scared even myself). I have noticed that my hair, when worn up and not clipped in place, has loose bits that fall like flaps over my ears, and I somewhat resemble a fraggle and/or a muppet. I have passed many a bored moment laughing at how ridiculous I look.

Been sleeping a tonne. Physical work takes some getting used to when you're an office temp, like me. Can't really eat too well either, so it's pasta, crackers, cheese, yoghurt, etc. I thought I'd found some porridge oats and tried to concoct myself a delicious breakfast this morning, only to find out they were in fact MUESLI oats, and didn't go all squidgy and porridge-like. Dammit.

Have been invited out a couple of times with the couriers, but have refrained, as I've been getting early nights, and clubbing never appeals to me anyway. Probably I am coming across as very unsociable, but I don't care overly. Not much commaraderie, which is a shame. It's a tad cliquey.

Tonight I am on Night Duty, or ECO, as it's now referred to. Actually I'm looking forward to a bit of customer contact, and being left to my own devices *mwahahahaaaaaa* Everyone else will be having BBQ.

Roll on next Monday. That's the day Danny and I are driven to the lakes. Oh yes! Spoke to the Repairs & Maintenance guy the other day (after saying 'Er... are you still here?' to him, thinking he was a customer - he was in the mobile I was supposed to be cleaning. 'Yes, I am' he replied, somewhat confused), and he said I'll be sleeping very well all through Demo. Outdoors work all the way. Woohoo!!!

And all that malarkey.

I'm off to waste more money on groceries now. Damn this overpriced supermarket. I want to get off-site!!! aarrrrgggghhhh!!!
