We made it to Topeka , Kansas, where we took pictures of the state capitol building and then stopped at the First Presbyterian Church near the capitol that has Tiffany windows. Then we traveled to Abilene, Kansas, where we stopped at the Eisenhower Center, that contains his boyhood home, a chapel where he is buried and a presidential museum.

While the road is flat and hypnotic, we were shaken when we saw families out in the fields trying to find their belongings after a twister went through their town last Wednesday night. I cannot imagine living with that fear in the back of your mind all the time.

Eisenhower was my favorite President. My Dad was a staunch Republican so Dwight David was mentioned often in our household. Can Adam tell us which how many Presidents we have had?

Go JB! Chase those twisters!! On a more serious note, I cannot imagine living with that "weather demon" either! We need to keep those people in our prayers and remember how blessed we are that we don't have to worry about most natural disasters where we live!
