Day 11 – Hong Kong

Firstly, “I am never drinking again”

We woke at about 7.30 and got ready for heading off to the airport. This ended up being amazing timing to us Jackson needed to renew his visa by leaving China, so he booked himself onto our flight and was coming with us. Our flight was scheduled for about 10.30 and everything went smoothly so we headed off to Hong Kong. The only thing that wasn’t so flash was my head, oh dear... oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

We arrived in Hong Kong and got the public transport into the city. Wow as we made our way in all you can do is look up and admire the buildings and the amazing sky line. We made our way to our hotel and then ventured around the city. The first stop was a feed at a local Indian restaurant. It was really yummy and hit the spot for all of us.

After that was shopping, shopping and more shopping, Toni loves this city! Jackson and Sam didn’t do to badly either with some suits being measured up and purchased.

After all this shopping we all found a pub so that we could watch the Canes take on the Blues. (Stupid Rugby) After the Rugby was venturing around the markets, more shopping and having a look at Hong Kong Park. It was bed time at about 10.30 with sore feet and a recovering head.

Day 12 – Hong Kong

Well this is our full day in Hong Kong. We woke up at about 8.30 and headed out about 10. First stop was across the water to the Hong Kong Island. We looked around the island for a while, Sam still admiring the buildings, Jackson cruising along and Toni acquainting herself with the local shops.

We then headed up to the Peak. This is a cable car that goes up the side of the mountain on Hong Kong Island. It over looks this majestic place, looking down on the city like the buildings are lego blocks.

From there we made our way (After some more shopping) back over to the hotel for a rest, this city can make you really knackered!

At about 7.30 we headed out for another walk (more exploring) and made our way down to the waterfront where the sky scrapers put on a light show every night. Lasers and lights off the building as well as all the lights on and in the buildings are used to create a neat effect. It was hardly the highlight of Hong Kong but worth a visit.

This was about it, apart from a sensational waffle and ice cream that we had a little later. Mmmmmm I love food!
