We all went to mission beach for one reason SKYDIVING. When we checked into our hostel late afternoon we were informed that they had a deal where as if you booked the 14,000 foot skydive through them you got one nights accommodation free. After a lot of shall we shan't we we booked the dive for 10am the next day. Needless to say as soon as we had the nerves kicked in. To get rid of some of the nerves we popped over the road to the pub named "the local" to sink a few schooners.
The next day we got up checked out and nervously waited for our lift. It was quite a while before we even got to the air strip because of various things including signing our lives away which only added to the nerves. I was fine up until we all got in the plane. Malina was totally the opposite a nervous wreck till we got to the plane and was fine after that. However i was last in which meant first out. As we slowly climbed i was getting really nervous especially since I was seated on the floor looking out of the see through door the whole time.

After what felt like a years we were out and I can honestly say its a feeling unlike anything else. After 60 seconds of free fall (which doesn't even feel like you are falling) the chute is pulled and the world becomes silent. Mission beach is such a beautiful place to do a jump as the scenery of the mainland off shore reefs and the beaches is amazing. Of course the best thing about doing your jump here is you land on the beach where I think is the only place you can do this definitely in Australia anyway. None of us hated it and all of us would have done it straight away again, if you get the chance do it. Its true what they say as soon as you are out of the plane your fear flies away with it.
