Touring the Redwoods and the wineries

well today we became tourist driving to the California coastal area Nth of Frisco.

We went town little town called Jenner and once again Jill saves us some money. The coast is not what I thought it would be. The water off the coast is freezing and as the land warms up a fog appears and comes inland and cools the day/evening down. Its about 22C today but was quite cool last night when the fog arrived. Needed a jumper even though it is summer. After seeing the Redwood forest that contained a tree that is 1400 years old and 306 feet tall we had a picknic in the park Next stop,the wineries. We had a couple of tastings and fell for the Cab sav and a Mermatige ,no that is not a typo. Its a blend between a Hermatige and a Merlo..  I could not choose between then so i bought both.Should go well with the BBQ tonight On returning back to Santa Rosa we went to a classic car show .It was brilliant. Got heaps of photo's unfortunately I can't upload any at the moment as the Laptop i am using does not have an SD card holder.Tomorrow we are heading back to Frisco and a bit more site seeing and shopping. We are only allowed 20Kg in the bags and I think Jill is way over quota and we have not hit Italy or France yet. I quess I will be loading up the backpaks pretty tightly. We fly to New York on Monday morning at 7:00am and arrive at 4:00pm We loose 3 hrs in time Anyway be in touch soon
