Padding around the corridors

The Chateau Lake Louise, like the Fairmont Banff Springs, is a fabulous place to get ill in. As in last two resorts I was up for skiing a couple of hours in the morning in the ski area of Lake Louise, with its typically North American combination of groomed runs and off-piste terrain for those wishing to try out some tree or powder skiing while not leaving a patrolled area. But the rest of the day I spend padding around the corridors of this world within a world. There are endless shops, bars and restaurants, of course, as well as services for the more fit, such as skate hire for the lake and sled rides around the famously azure lake. But there are countless other exciting discoveries to be made for the sickly. An ornamental pillar box by the lifts says Royal Mail: it is presumably part of a vacuum system of delivering message and there is a sugar model of the Chateau. During elections they even have a polling booth. I am off to explore again, though even in a week I do not think I would do the place justice.
