After a direct train journey from Warsaw train station we arrived in Krakow which was of course where Rhys won the race to 30 some 14 or so months ago. It didn't take him long to rub it in and go on for as long as possible and as soon as a few Polish bevies were in him that was it. I may as well of snuck off during the night and taken with me his European train timetable book.

We remained and we went about doing the sight seeing of Krakows famous buildings and square. It didn't take us long to find a the British stag do's that have been plaguing Eastern Europe for many years now but we didn't see any bad behavior whilst we were there thankfully. We would relax in the hostel garden and see who was staying with us for the time we were here and of course there was a stag do but they seemed friendly enough but couldn't understand where they were from in northern England.

"...we were away but not before Rhys forgot over half of his clothes..."

We did however meet 2 good guys from Germany who were biking around Europe and whos claim to fame was that they had met Ewen Mcgregor whilst biking around Europe. They said he was a nice man and we all agreed and drank some more. It doesn't take long for things to turn on their heads and when you have 2 bikers and Rhys and I on our first day, things turned blurry.

Karaoke with Polish students singing Queen, one of the Germans Bernard doing a Kaiser impression whilst clasping a coin in his eye and drinking games. Its like this every bloody time away with Rhys and I!

Our time in Krakow was short lived and we left for the Czech Republic the next day but not before Rhys in a still drunken state awoke with me doing train impressions and urging him to get up as we had a to catch the thing I was impersonating.  Finally he scrambled out of bed and we were away but not before Rhys forgot over half of his clothes which are still on the continent....somewhere.

The weather was warming up and good weather was to persist throughout the week. It had only just begun this trip but it had the tail tail marks of a successful one.
