Finding my way around

I arrived to my flat on a sunday and there for wasn't able to go to IKEA to get sheets or anyhting for my room. Walked over to Willy's (the grocery store that is in Råslätt) and bought some food for dinner/lunch and some yogurt from breakfast the next day. Let me tell you about Råslätt. Interesting place if your coming from America it started out as an exprimental place for Sweden to house imagrents to help them assimilate into Sweden. It was developed in the 1960's and it is clear by the look of it. There are about 10-15 large buildings that are comprised of 6 smaller buildings, each smaller building has 8 or so floors and each floor has 3 flats on it. The Flat size ranges from 2 room to 4 room flats, they all have a kitchen and hall way and either 1 or 2 bathrooms depending on the size. Over all nice places to live, balcony, large windows and fully furnished. Its right out side of Jönköping's town center, and the bus system is great and can get there really easy.after i got back from Willy's, I turned on my computer and tried to pick up a wireless signal but all these random ones were showing up. like NJIT and such, so I tried to connect it to the wall, and that didn't work. When I would open the browser this swedish site would come up and it had no English version. So I looked around and found the page that told you how to connect but... it was in Swedish. So I pulled out my little phrase book, but that was very unhelpful because that just told you about things like food and transportation, nothing on how to connect your computer to the internet. So after giving up and realizing that I have no way to connect myself to the internet, I began to read through the welcome package and see what I was supposed to be doing the next day for classes. I roamed around trying to find a phone so that I could use the Calling card that I got in my ISIC card package, but when I got to the pay phone and tried to dial a 1-800 number they asked me for money that i didn't have (every thought I soon realized that the 1-800 number that I was dialing was for if I was in the United States and not if I was calling TO the United States- and to find the number to call if your calling from Sweden you have to go online ... again completely useless without the internet!) So I bummed around the room and did some work on my laptop then I fall asleep on the a mattress that has no sheets with a pillow and blanket that have no cover (which if you read through your welcome package -like i did- you will see that failure to have sheets and a duvet and pillow cover can get you kicked out of the room...so i'm living on the edge)
so i'm living on the edge...
