What happened to 7th December?

The time travelling seemed to have affected M's mind: on approaching the Opera House he declared that it gets bigger the closer you get to it; after walking around Sydney for a few hours he asked 'Do all Australians look shifty because they're descended from criminals?' No offence to any Aussies reading this, he was out of his mind at the time.  Good job we found the flat whites (Australian for really good coffee).  They seemed to do the trick and sanity was soon restored.

Sydney is about as far away from home as you can get, so it was odd to see when walking around the harbour area a big AXA building (maybe M could get a contract there and H could be a lady of leisure?!).  Another strange sight was loads of flags with Darren C on, promoting the Australian Open.  Final oddity, hung on a bookshop wall was a picture of Banksy's Mild Mild West graffitti that we have walked past every day on Stokes Croft for the last eight years.

It was a relief when we took a ferry to Manly Beach to find some people. Up until this point Sydney seemed strangely devoid of people, or maybe we're too used to living on a small overcrowded island.
