After unpacking, they (Sue, Stephen, Christine, Sheryl, and Marc) headed down to the pool for a little relaxation - oh yeah, and to see all the other parents relaxing with their new adoptees  :)  What a bunch of happy parents and future parents - cute little babies everwhere!

Sheryl and Marc (S+M) joined Sue and Stephen (S+S) around the pool where S+S were talking to a couple.  Turns out Stephen was talking to a colleague of Stephen's brother - small world... but it gets even smaller!  Stephen was talking to Eric Dupont (?) who as it turns out is from a small community to the east of Ottawa called Curran.  Marc mentioned that his parents' best friends (Ray & Terry Gendron) live in Curran... what do you know?  Eric is Ray and Terry's neighbor.

Christine suggested we go for a walk and possibly do a bit of shopping before our group meeting,so a bunch (Sue, Stephen, Christine, Aline, Thomas, Sheryl, and Marc) headed out for a walk.

This was most of the group's first foray into Asian-moped-travel-chaos: you traverse the street, cross your fingers, and trust in the throng of mopeds to dodge you and sure enough, noone in the group was run over - although there were some scary moments.  It is wild to see these crowds of mopeds go by: sometimes up to 4 people per bike  lol, no helmets or car seats here!

The group saw a bit of the business of Ho Chi Minh City - and picked up a few necessities.

Marc and Sheryl joined the rest of the group in room 214 for the meeting.  Tuih and Loanne also joined us and filled-us in on the plan for the following day: at last the visit to the orphanage.  We were to mmet in the hotel lobby at 08:00 the next morning, Wednesday September 26th for the trip to the orphanage.

After the meeting, Sue, Stephen, Christine, Sheryl, and Marc returned to the room to freshen-up and then went down to the restaurant by the pool for some late dinner.  Following the long and mostly sleepless plane trip, the group was really tired so made a short night.  Everyone turned-in around 9:30pm.  One more sleep!?!  :-)
