From the Hurricane Deck

After a lovely stop in the quaint, antique filled town of Geneva OH, we quickly made our way to Buffalo, NY and splendid Niagara Falls.   Bill was all set to take photos when the sky erupted and we were drenched with rain.

This would be typical of our day.   Yes, we were drenched but wonderfully so.  Despite two plastic rain coats and even rain sandals provided on our 4 hour tour we dragged soggy clothing along by the end of the day.   The rain subsided and spots of sunshine provided georgeous backdrops and rainbows for us.

We loaded on to the Maid of the Mist and bounced along the Niagara River sprayed by the  American. Bridalveil, Horseshoe, and Canadian Falls on all sides.

Then we took a bus tour of the Whirlpool, Devil's Hole, and the Power Plant, the Three Sisters and Goat Island where we descended tothe bottom of the American Falls and for the bravest of us, got on the Hurricane Deck in order to be drenched with our companions from Nepal, India, Israel and China.   Everyone had a wonderful time and Bill made lots of friends among the young women, who knew it was time to go back to the tour bus when Bill was no longer taking pictures.

Tonight we have had a shower and collapsed at the local KOA.    Tomorrow on to Gloversville. and Mom.
