We waited for a good 20 minutes until our bus finally arrived. We hopped on and headed towards Hakata station. There were several other travelers on the bus, most of whom seemed to be heading to the same hostel where we scheduled to stay. We checked into our hostel and headed out and about to do a little exploring. We hung around Hakata station and ventured into the Tanjin area to do a little shopping and looking around. We eventually called it an early evening and headed back to the hostel. On the way, we picked up our dinner at the Lawson's Station convenience store around the corner. I had a curry dish, while Jong Bo ate a meat and noodle dish. It was actually very delicious and satisfying.

The next morning we got up and headed for the station where we ate some nice western style pastries at one of the shops. After breakfast we locked up our bags in a locker and headed for Canal-City for some browsing and light shopping. The mall is a bit dated and reminded me of an American circa 1980's urban renewal project. Of course if it were in the US, it would now be boarded up awaiting or undergoing renewal once again. It was nice to take a break from the heat and humidity for a bit. There was some nice live music but other than that, not much of interest for my part.

We then headed back to Hakata station to wait for our bus to Hiroshima. We finally boarded and took off towards our destination. The bus ride was quite nice because there were very few people on board. We each had two seats to stretch out and relax. I spent the trip watching the green scenery rush by and listening to music while doing a bit of reading now and again. Once again, Jong Bo slept the time away until we reached the rest stop. We sampled some nice rest stop boxed sushi, which turned out to be pretty decent. We finally arrived in Hiroshima just around dark and finally found our way through the train/bus station and headed to our lodging.
