We jumped on an overnight bus for 13 hours to San Cristobal. We have checked into 'Backpackers Hostel' which is great. We slept mostly that first day, and then found a great little place doing a 3 course lunch, including a glass of wine, for 2.50 pounds - such a bargain - they are heaps of those little places around here.
The streets are lovely - colourful and very peaceful. Just a short stay here before Guatemala.
