We spent our first 3 days in brussels. The city is small compared to most European cities. The vibe is laid back. No one seemed to be in a hurry. We spent most days walking around and taking it all in.
The highlights of our trip were... Only A Game? expo at the Musèe du Cinquantenaire(www.onlyagame.be). It was a modern exhibit using PSP's to show different video's of games and history footage. It compared the time line of the development of the European Union and the UEFA and the influence football and poltics have on each other.

We had a couple of bowls of amazing soup at a place called Bar Sabir. Its a bit off the beaten path but was well worth the trip. The best meal so far. The place reminded me of something you might find in the east village...small, hip, cheap, and delicious.
The last night we bought a take away of belgium beer(Stella and Maes) and sat outside on the Mont de Arts where we watched 3 bands play in the Brussels summer festival.
