Now this was a walk I could handle!!
After leaving the foot clinic, I walked a leisurely 5k uphill to Azofra. At that rate, it would take 100 days to get to Santiago, but once in awhile it is great.
Yellow Arrows
Along the way, I saw a few other pilgrims, they had started 10 or 20 km back and were getting tired. But then I hadn´t left Najera until around 2.

How do we find our way on this Camino, someone asked me. Mostly, we follow the yellow arrows. They are painted on telephone poles, rocks, street signs, you name it.
Another way is the scallop shell symbols, which are placed like any street sign along streets that are part of the Camino.
There´s always the trusty GPS, which I have used regularly to gauge my distance, but also to double check that I am indeed on the right path.
Some people have maps, and others use their guidebook directions. It´s all a matter of preference. Or do like I do, I follow my shadow! (See last photo.)

Azofra has single beds, not bunks. And cubicles of two beds to a cube, not 50 or more in one room. How civilized. There´s a washer and dryer available - but we are not allowed to use it, we have to pay the attendant €3 each for the wash and dry. I´m all for that!
We saw Graham from Auckland at Azofra, and had dinner with him and his daughter-in-law. The old Orisson crowd again...
