Caye Caulker is a beautiful, small island in Northern Belize. I was only planning on staying for 2 to 3 nights, but got caught up there for about a week. I did a scuba diving tour one day to Hol Chan, a national marine park. It was an amazing dive site. We saw some beautiful eagle rays, some nurse sharks, some huge baracudas, nassau groupers, and some turtles. While the diving in Utila was good, the diving in Belize was amazing, though quite a bit more expensive.

The next day I ended up meeting a group of Canadians while watching the sunset at "the split" - an area where the island was split in half during a hurrican, and is now the place where everyone suntans, swims, and watches the sunset. I spent the next few days together with them exploring the island on rented bicycles, avoiding the unbearable heat by hiding in the hotel during the day, taking a day trip to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, and eating delicious seafood.
The day after the Canadians left I ran into Christy, a friend I had made in La Ceiba, so for the next few days I spent my days sunbathing and relaxing to the max with her and her friend Jodie.
