Learning to Surf

It had been a long drive up the coast from Reedsport to Manzanita but that didn't stop Tony.  From riding quads in the am to surfing in the pm, he was up for anything.  Trial by fire occurred.  Tony learned to surf by simply putting on a wetsuit and heading into the ocean with a long surf board.  Luckily he had a good friend (Troy) he could watch and learn by example.  He was hooked immediately.

Once wasn't enough.  They got up again the next morning and went again.  According to Tony, it was worth every ounce of salt water he swallowed and got into his ears and nose just to stand on the board for a total of three seconds.  I have a feeling we'll be surfing as much as possible on our trip!
