Our second day in Budapest started out with cereal and eggs in the hostel.  Then, we met up with Lana, Asta, and Natalee to start our next day of adventures in Budapest.  We went through the city, stopped at a basilica (St. Stephens), and then went up the hill to the palace, riding the lift up.  We were up there for awhile, walking around and taking goofy pictures.  Then we checked out the House of Hungarian Wines- but we didn't want to pay to do the wine tasting, so we just looked around in the wine cellar.

Next we went back to the main town area and met up with Crystal, one of our Canadian friends that left Krakow later on a train to come to Budapest.  She wanted to go to the baths, so we just planned to meet up with her later.  The rest of us found a place to eat.

After our late lunch, we walked around shopping at jeweleryshops.  Then, we happened to find an art gallery with people drinking wine and looking at the art.  So, we went inside and joined in for a little while.  It was fun.  After some more shopping, we met back up with Crystal at a famous coffee shop, Gerbeaud.  We had cake and coffee (I had the truffle cake and a cafe latte..yum!)\

By this time, it was pretty late, so Meghan, Lana, Asta, Natalee, Crystal, and I went to a store to buy a few bottles of wine and cups and went to this really cool place Crystal saw earlier.  It was an old metro station they turned into a bar/club.  There was a band playing in the club, which was underground.  From the doors, the pavement stepped up to the street level, creating a cool place to hang out.  There were a lot of people there hanging out and drinking, and some people skating too.  It was a really unique atmosphere.  It was strange though because you could drink right outside of the club and go in/out freely.

After hanging out, drinking wine, and talking, we all went inside the club to listen to the band.  Inside was really cool.  There's a big room when you enter and the ceiling is glass because there is a pool above!  The band was fun to listen to, so we didn't get back to the hostel until late.  I went to sleep around 2 and we had to get up at 4:15 to catch our 6:15 bus!  It was a 7-1/2 hour bus ride though and I thankfully slept most of the way!
