Arrived very tired after longest bus trip yet, 10 hours from Amsterdam. So had a quick walk around the shops and restaurants within a block of the hostel and crashed out for the night.

Next day the weather was beautiful for the first time on the trip so we made the most of it by going on a six hour Bike Tour around Berlin. Stopped at Museum Island, the remaining section of the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie, the recently completed Holocaust Memorial and the Reichstag. The guide was a fellow kiwi from Christchurch and was brilliant at his job, having studied German history at university he certainly knew his stuff and made the tour one of the best so far.

In the evening we went on another organised pub crawl. Got to see some of the Berlin nightlife which lived up to its name as one of the top pub and club cities in the world. The final club was a hiphop bar which was amazing but we were a little disapponted not to visit a proper techno club for which Berlin is so famous. Will definitely be back to explore this city further...

Our final day brought some unexpected and very sad news from home in New Zealand and we decided to cut our trip short. We hope to back on the BusAbout trip later this year or even pick up where we left off next year. Thanks to everyone who has read and commented on our blog so far. Will be adding more to the other entries (London etc) while in New Zealand. Back travelling again soon...
