The next day we head over to the other side of the island and moor in Pomena which is the gateway to the Mjlet National Park. Mom, Kim and I take the launch in and purchase our ticket to the park. There is a short hike to Malo Jezaro (small lake) and Veliko Jezero (big lake) which are connected by a man-made channel. We swim.

After lunch Kim and I hike back and take the boat to St. Mary’s Islet where there is a monastery. Afterward we enjoy drinks at the beach side bar at the Hotel Odisej. The wind is pushing waves over the embankment. Once the last ferry of the day departs the Skarda is allowed to dock in town.
