The quaint town of Luang Prabang
From Around the world in 7 months in Luang Prabang, Laos on Dec 16 '07
Luang Prabang is barely touched by tourism. As it used to be a Franch colony, there is a nice French vibe about a lot of the architecture. With freshly made baguettes from street venders and perfectly made crepes and hot chocolate for breakfast, this town is a delicious experience.
Not only that, there is a nearby waterfall with natural swimming pools which are such a bright shade of turquoise you could be fooled into thinking they were lined.
Travelicious
With local watering holes such as the chilled out Hive Bar and Lao Lao Garden, there's always somewhere cool to wet your whistle. Plus, the 12 midnight curfew maintains the towns innocence. The local bowling alley is apparently where it's at and even though we didn't make it there, it's since been highly recommended by fellow travellers.
