Any day that starts at CnJ’s house is a good day! We love being there. We went out for breakfast at a new place because our local favorite “Hoaty’s” was closed for the owner’s son’s college graduation. If you have never been to Hoaty’s you need to know that it is a local hang out. Every one knows every ones name. And they have the most fantastic eclectic collection of pig things that anyone has ever seen. So today we tried the “Airport Café”. It was at a very small airport used only by the “Experimental Aircraft Association” and we saw some neat little planes. Unfortunately, the ground was very wet and no one was flying.

Getting Exciting ...
We hit the road by noon and headed for BAR HABOR. YEAH! The ride was pretty and things went smoothly. We went across one really cool bridge (see pics – forget name).

Got to the campground late. We weren’t parked 5 minutes and the girls were headed for the tide pools. We were 5 feet from the beach. It was low tide and the water’s edge was still a ways off (50 yards). Still we were exploring before we got the motor home leveled. It was getting dark fast so we needed to fix dinner soon. We thought we were in for a great sunset – but a quick cloud cover masked it all. We are hopeful we get at least one good one in.
After dinner we went for a long walk to check out everything. It was kinda muddy and wet from two days of rain – but the forecast calls for it to dry up after this.

K/ has made big plans for the week – she really wants to explore the tide pools more. There is a ranger walk dedicated just to telling us about the tide pools and all the things that are there and we hope to take that walk soon. K/ also wants to rent a kayak or canoe and check out all the bays and waterways. We are on the Ocean – but sort of on the mainland side of the Island. It was quite chilly here tonight and we got a bit wet on our walk (from all the puddles). We are off to bed early and are hoping to get an early start tomorrow.
