Las Vegas...not much to explain. It was our 1 year anniversary so we decided to have some fun, and watch Meg's dad in the World Series of Poker. There is so much excitement in Vegas that you really don't need to do much to have a good time. You can gamble, see shows, eat great food at many different buffets, or just walk the strip and watch some of the free shows the hotels put on right outside.
My favorite place to gamble was Ceasars Palace. It has the highest minimums on its tables, but it is by far the nicest. They have so many tables for blackjack and roulette that its hard to count. This is also where I won the most money. For a fun night of gambling I would have to say that Harrah's in the Party Pit was good for that. All the tables are $5 and there is loud music and lots of people.

As long as you are gambling, the drinks are free...which has got to be one of the best perks. They have also introduced a gambling card if you are more into that. As long as you are sitting at a table and betting you are earning points on this card. You can redeem the points at anytime for merchandise, drinks, room charges, or even money off your bill. An nice added bonus if you are going to be gambling anyways.
We went to watch some of the Poker action at the Rio. We walked into the poker room, and we were surprised at the weird sound that filled the room. Thousands of players, shuffling about handfuls of chips...very neat experience. Most of the players are playing in the main tournaments, but there was also quite a few cash games. There was a lot of famous players here, as this was one of the biggest events of the year.

We also managed to take in a comedy show while we were there. Vinny Favorito!! He has to be one of the best stand up comedians I have ever seen. It was a small theater, maybe 50 people, but that didnt seem to matter. He had the entire audience laughing from start to finish. Admission wasnt about $40 each, which was well worth it.
All in all, unless you lose all your money I dont think you can have a bad time in Vegas. This was our second trip there, and we plan to make at least trip each year...Its that much fun!!
