On our way up from Coyhaique we drove through some amazing places such as this little town with the cutest and smallest church we have yet seen. We also drove through Parque Nacional Queulat, a part of Chile that we would definitely love to see with more time.

Yes, we visited yet another park involving Tompkins. Our first was in Argentina, where Tompkins owns 60% of the area around the Reserva Natural Esteros del Ibera. His total land holdings are estimated to be around 800.000 hectares, making him one of the top private land owners in the world. We were happy to find that both in Argentina and in Chile these lands are being well protected with the purpose to preserve these very unique ecosystems (absolutely gorgeous!). We also must say that Chaiten has been our favorite town in Chile....
