Yes! My dad is turning 50 next tuesday, so there has to be a little party. But first church.
Got up (way too) early (for a sunday) to go to church, and as last week I didn't really feel like going. But hey, dad and Patti wanted me to meet their friends, and vice versa, so I couldn't refuse again. Shouldn't be that bad. After all, I already met her parents and they're nice folks!
So when we got there 30 minutes later and unloaded the truck, everyone was pretty nice and introducing themselves and saying that they heard so much about me and had seen pictures. What pictures? Haha, nah all nice people though. The church isn't big, actually it's being held in Yelm's Senior Center, and they bring most stuff from home themselves usually, except for the chairs and the piano of course. The little community holds about 30 members, but today there were only about 15. Not bad, not too many questions asked that way, as I was still a bit sleepy (and you know you don't want that many questions thrown at your head when you'd rather be in bed).

Dad started the soundcheck by playing some nice tunes on his guitar and all sounded well.
Some biblestudy/preaching going on and singing after that, with Patti's mum playing the piano. After that the newer songs with my dad playing the guitar. Was all good!
Then some more preaching with someone else (I'm soo bad with remembering names, I'm not even gonna try lol) reading the bible and enough interaction between the people sitting there, getting their input and reactions. I actually tried to stay awake, but couldn't help my head falling down and I think I missed out on some stuff there!

So when that finished the kids came back up and they had made a nice pictures-thingy with Patti, with lots of those balloons saying something about my dad. Nice stuff, check it out in the pictures.
Afterwards Patti, I and someone else went to get us some sandwiches at Subway for the picknick that everyone was invited to in order to celebrate dad's birthday. Picked up the electrical equipment and went to the park with everyone to have a nice picknick. Dad unwrapped the presents that he got. Some more questioning was going on about his son of course, cos "they heard so much about him" (haha). Oh well, we had a short, chilly sit there for about an hour and headed back home.
