Chilling out for the day

I didn't wake up until 1245!  That means about 14 hrs of sleep last night.  I had an airborne for breakfast and set out to Nancy town by foot again.  Tomorrow I will start work since Professor Favre is in Paris today.  I wanted to find a supermarket, laundromat, and a plug adapter today.     I wasn't hungry so I just walked around, finding the best route to the chemical engineering department.  I tried walking through the campus but many doors were closed to outsiders.  I ate lunch at a pizza place where I had a tough time pronouncing the word for water "eau".  I had a smoked salmon pizza which was really good.

I went back to the Place Stanislas and just sat in the sunny square for an hour or so.  I saw a "supermarche" on the map and walked to it.  I bought apples, bananas, tomatoes, conditioner, onions, lettuce, turkey, milk, OJ, shampoo, salt and pepper, rice, and salad dressing.  All for 27 euros.  It was pretty far from home and my arms ached from the walk.

It was a beautiful day so I went to the Jardin de l'Eau along the river to sit and read my newly-bought french-english dictionary.  Instead, I ended up doing sudokus from my travel book that I bought in Hawaii.  What a beautiful day!

I suddenly craved bread so I bought sme at a nearby patisserie.  It was really good!  Especially since it was only 1.20 for a huge loaf!  I seasoned the turkey with basil, salt, and pepper.  I hard boiled two eggs (oh yeah I bought eggs and cooking oil) and made a much-needed salad.  Dinner was satisfactory but nothing amazing. Tonight I watched "friends" in French and wrote journals.  Tomorrow I have to be at campus at 1030.  Its 2315 and I'll probably go to sleep now.  I'll email you all tomorrow.
