After wandering around the D-Day beaches we hopped back in the car and dashed off to Dieppe to do another beach landing. Well, that was the plan, after about an hour of going in circles looking for food and getting lost we finally got to Dieppe as the sun was getting low. We quickly wandered around the town where more Canadians died than during the D-Day landings. The beach is a crappy little hellhole of small rocks and the cliffs are impressive and daunting. We wandered around until the sun went down and then we were all tired so we drove off to try to find a campsite.

It took a long time to find a campsite that was open but it was a bit of a miracle when we finally found it. The fact that it was still open so late and had room, minor miracle. We set up camp, enjoyed some wine and went to sleep. To top it all off we were able to shower that night AND we didn't get rained on! Beautiful!

The next morning we finished touring Dieppe, went to the cemetery they have there and bid farewell to the town. We had a car to return!
