Hey there everyone!!!! So, all I have to say is Brazil is crazy!!! I love love it here! The people are great not to mention beautiful, the food is so amazing, Rio itself is beautiful, and I kinda dont want to leave.  The beaches are absolutely amazing here! We have been going almost everyday to some beach, unless we were taking a tour or something. The beaches are filled with little food guys that normally you would be scared to buy from. But here, it is different. They come around with amazing fresh fruit, cheese, shrimp, and this drink called açae. It is this purple amazon fruit, and it crushed up into a smoothie. OH my gosh...kinda to die for. The people here are great! A lot of the times, I cant tell tourist from locals bc alot of Brazilians are blonde, blue eyed, European looking. Ooo..I love the Portugese language. Knowing Spanish helps, but it is like a mix of French and Spanish or something. I would love to learn it. Oh, the night life is absolutely insane. People stay out till sunrise...easy.  So, the first night we got there, we went to a Brazilian Reggea/Rap concert (totally messed up the spelling.) We obviously couldnt understand any of it because it was in Portugese, but it was amazing. Other than that, we went to an amazing salsa club, and also this area called Lapa, which is kinda central in the city. There was more than a million people there just partying in the streets till early morning. There was thousands of food and drink stands and multiple concerts everywhere. Pretty awesome.  Kinda gets a little dangerous taking a taxi home at that time of night. We had a little set up run in to the Brazilian police on our way home one night. A lot of times, they will pay off taxi drivers to drive into an area of police men so they can force you out of the car, frame you with drugs, and take your money. However, we were lucky. They didnt do anything to us. phew. Other than that, Brazil is really safe. You just have to be careful late at night. Little kids are the worst. They pickpocket alot. Other than that, as you can see in my pictures, we went to see El Cristo, the famous statue you always see in pictures, Sugar Loaf, CocoCabana, Ipanema, amazonian beaches, Carnaval, and I think we are going to watch a soccer game tonight! That should be amazing. Brazil is one the most beautiful places I have ever been too. The land outside the city is soo untouched and amazing. I have never seen a jungle so lush. I would come back here in a heart beat. Tomorrow, I leave for Buenos Aires Argentina where I will be till August studying. Wish me luck!!!!! Write me back too! I want to hear from some of you people! =)
