Packed up on Thursday morning and left Kalbarri for Denham.
On the way we met lots of feral goats, apparently they are quite a nuisance here and they are being relocated elsewhere or brought to the butchers.
Also saw 2 more emus, these are much more fun to see than goats.
We stopped at an interesting little place called Shell beach. The entire beach really is made up of shells up to 5 meters thick, and actually get harvested for chicken grit, sidewalk “gravel” and compacted into bricks they have been used in the past for building. Most of the shells are small cockle shells, the high salinity of the seawater as a result of a sandbar discourages the existence of snails which pray on these creatures, causing the population explosion . Very interesting.

Next stop Eagle Bluff. The lookout is high above the water we could see 2 stingrays swimming in the water below. Arrived in Denham while it was still light. That is one thing hard to get used to that by 7 pm it really is dark.
