Sadly, we arrived into Adelaide at 5:00am on the Greyhound bus from Melbourne so we were not in the best of moods to be appreciating what turned out to be quite a nice little city. I say little, but by that i mean in terms of people around and cars on the road. There seems hardly any rush to be anywhere here, which was just as well as we took 45 mins to walk the 5 minute journey to our hotel from the bus terminal!! It seemed my map reading skills in the early am are about as good as the actual map we were using to get there! Lorna was not impressed to be carrying her heavy bag on a leisurely stroll round the outskirts of Adelaide with less than 3 hours sleep behind her in 2 days...

Anyway, the hotel was nice enough - if not a little ancient - but we set about getting our bearings of the area. We did the short city walk, which took in the library, museum, the Adelaide Oval, the river (forgotten name!) and the few nice parks scattered around.
