The drive down to the Blue Mountains was a big one! We all did about half a day each driving down from Byron Bay, passing Port Macquire and Sydney and stopping at variuous rest stops along the way at Coffs Harbour and Katoomba.
The first stop in the Mountains was an early one with the mist still in the air. Because of this the view of Wentworth Falls was a bit spoilt. We walked a couple of the scenic routes there but it wasn't up to the standard of the Tablelands so we didnt stay long. We drove to Echo Point next to see the Three Sisters. Luckily the weather had cleared up a bit so the view there was really good.

After walking around the town for a bit and grabbing some breakfast we decided we had exhausted the Blue Mountains. There was still a lot more to do there such as visit the caves but none of us were in the mood for it so we decided to leave there early.
The night of the 27th we drove into Canberra...a city we thought we would miss out at first but we thought we'd give it a go.
