Not so Nice...weather

We got to Nice, and went straight to see the Mediterranean. It was the most incredible shade of blue I've never seen in nature. Almost ice blue. And so clear. Wow. Even better, we found a fruit market with the most wonderful tasting strawberries that I"ve ever tasted...like the little ones you pick illegally in Banff Nat'l Park that taste sooooo good. Then we climbed ot the top of an old ruined castle to see the view of the city. We wandered the maze of the old city and eventually got back to our hostel. We had a kitchen so decided to cook our own supper.

I went out with a Turkish girl from our dorm room to a nearby salsa club, but the music didn't start till 11:00, and the drinks were 6euro for a pop, so we didn't stay long.

Mar 24/07

It rained...and rained...and rained, so we went shopping. I found a fantastic jacket and had to buy it. I've been looking for something like it for a very long time, but apparently in the wrong country. Now my bag is pretty much full, so I  think we'll be mailing home soon. Soon the rain became a downpour, and then hail. We hid out in an internet cafe until most of the storm had passed, then went back to the hostel where it was warm and dry. Because we had thown in our laundry this morning, we were wearing skirts, and it was definatly NOT skirt weather.
