Rushing Malaysia

Well i dossed around in Ko Phangnan for another day, before realising i had better get my act together since i was flying to Sydney on the 12th of march, and was still in Thailand! OOPS!! Off i toddled, onto the boat to the mainland and then a delightfully long bus journey to Kuala lumpur, where i arrived at 3.30am..luckily i had made a friend, Rob on the bus, so we agreed to share a room, which we found with no trouble.  Got up a little late (understandably) and then hit K.L in all its glory.  We went to little india and chinatown, before getting the metro (so quick and easy, and cheap) to the twin towers and the shopping centre. We headed up the towers (fantastic views), shame i had no camera, before wandering around the shops till i was drooling, mac cosmetics, burberry, gucci, quicksilver, zara...i nearly died and went to heaven! Got myself a camera and then we went off to the cinema to watch a film and indulge in western pleasures, e.g. starbucks!  After that it was about 8pm to our surprise, so back to our hotel to change and go over the road to the reccommended reggae bar...were we happened upon two familiar faces, hal and laith that i met in Koh Tao! We all sat together and had a few drinks, before heading back to the hotel at about 2am..these late nights do me good i think!

The next day me and rob went back to the shopping centre to buy him a shirt he'd seen, and then went for a lovely curry before i had to catch the train to get to singapore (told you it was a drop in visit!)  7 hours on the train, and i wish id had time to do malaysia properly.
