Well, it's been awhile... spent three days driving around with Zvika, Shai, and Daniel, three Israeli guys I met at the hostel. It was a blast--camping, seeing the "Seven Lakes" district, and clowning around in general. Pictures are up at

I'd say a real highlight was this little, unnamed lake that we happened upon while we drove. It was on the way from San Martin de los Andes to El Bolson, and we needed something to break up the drive anyway. The lake was crystal-clear, and as we would soon discover, freezing (as glacier water tends to be). Spent the rest of the drive trying to feel our feet again, as well as having competitions for the best "Yidishe Mama" accent (Shai won with, " 'I don't have, I don't have...' What about what you do have? You have your health, and if you keep up like this, soon you won't even have that."). It was funny because we all had the same experiences, like cleaning up before the housekeeper came every week or being coached to eat "two more bites."

Anyway, so we came back a few days ago to Bariloche, and we're more or less killing time until Purim, which is on Sunday. The Chabad house is having a big party that we'll go to, I think, and after that, we're shooting to do the Nahuel Huapi trek, which is a three- or four-day hiking trek through the mountains. All remains to be seen at the moment, but it seems like it should be fun.
