We woke up early and cruised down to Manhattan Beach, just north of Redondo Beach. While it’s not very crowded and is great for surfing, the water was freezing. We threw on our swimsuits and jumped in anyway. We also had the opportunity to toss the shell we picked up in Virginia Beach onto the sand in California. We stayed about two hours and then headed back for a quick shower and we were on our way to Hollywood.

We found the Walk of Fame and followed it to Graumans Chinese Theatre at Hollywood and Vine. We had fun finding our favorite stars’ handprints and getting some great pictures. There were thousands of people; some dressed up in costume and some whose regular clothing looked like costumes. We saw Chewbacca, Lara Croft, Jack Sparrow and even a terrible Wonder Woman (no one competes with Jessie).

We then moved on to Burbank where we saw the Warner Brothers lot and Paramount Studios. We drove through Beverly Hills (no we couldn’t find the High School), detoured down Rodeo Drive, and eventually found our way to Santa Monica.

We tried our best to find a way to get up to Mulholland Drive, but to no avail. But in our own defense, we discovered that some folks who live in Los Angeles can’t find it either.

However we did happen to accidentally pass the Hollywood Bowl about 4 times.

Ben and Jess.
