We are off
From NZ,AUS, Fiji and US with newborn and toddler in tow in Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom on Feb 10 '07
How much luggage!! We fill up the people carrier, and need 3 trollies to move our luggage. It is hard work. Im standing in the queue trying to push a trolley, with bags on my back, and Lloyd attempting to breastfeed a moving target! Eventually some nice person from Singapore Airlines spots our predicament and moves us onto another desk. We spend a long time waiting whilst they attempt to check some of our luggage through to Perth, but allow other luggage out at Singapore. Time is running out.
I head for the currency desk to pick up our money. He could have given me monopoly money for all I know, it was all so chaotic. We then chased through customs, with Matthew screaming as I had to throw away his bottle of water, and manage to get through the “liquid” inspection and x-ray machines relatively quickly. We get to the gate, and heave a big sigh of relief. We are here, we made it, and there is our plane.
A Big Sigh of Relief
