We love Gunnison, Coworado

We stopped in Gunnison, tempted by the big sign saying "FREE WI FI" at the visitors center. Our plans were to just drive through town on the way to Black Canyon, but we ended up booking a white water raft trip and camped 2 days. Sorry, no photos of the white water raft trip, as they were way overpriced. Now I know that right now you're thinking "Those Hallgrens are such cheap asses". Did I want a picture of us rafting? Sure I did. Could I afford the $49 pictures? Sure I could. But at a certain point these places just rip you off, and we will not be a party to that behavior. So no pictures, sorry to disapoint.
Anyway, the rafting was interesting, and very cold. The water was 44 degrees, and the rapids were class 3.
the rafting was interesting
The camping was great - we had the best campsite in the park.
Oh yeah, on our way out we stopped in Crested Butte and walked around, checked out the ski hill, and had beers on a patio overlooking the mountain.
And one more thing, the typo in the title is intentional. There are cows EVERYWHERE in Coworado!
