This would probably have to have been one of the best days of 2006. That question was asked at the pub last night, and this day definitely sprung to mind. (I am writing this on Tuesday 1st January.) After a very big night the night before, I tried to wake up Laurence so we could go to Canterbury. Things weren't looking good at that point as he was just like, '10 more minutes,' and then straight back to sleep. I said to Karla, 'Let's just go by ourselves then.' Eventually, all did get up including the sabs (Laurence's friends) that had slept in the lounge room the night before. We asked them if they wanted to come, and Stefan, who has a car, was up for it and to drive which was a bonus! It was great. So Danny, Laurence, Stefan, Karla and I all went off to Canterbury in Stefan's van. I was in the front with Stefan on the way there, and Karla in the back with Danny and Laurence, God help her!

We got there and went to the pub I believe! Laurence and Danny pretty much spent the whole day in different pubs while Stefan, Karla and I went to visit Canterbury Cathedral. It was amazing. Very big and eerie and creppy, you know? It had a spooky feel for sure. It was great with Stefan and Karla - they were good company. We went out and walked the grounds after seeing the inside. After, it was to the pub for a while and then to Laurence's mum's house for a bit. Then to the beach! That was lovely. Eddie, the dog, had a great time. We threw the ball for him, drank more beer and then it was off home again in the van. What a cool day! Canterbury is beautiful. So nice to get out of London just for a bit, and going in the car and Stefan and Danny coming with us definitely made it.
