Clare & Nick visit Poupa and Sheridan and Perry @ Cambridge

We had a long train ride from Edinburgh to Cambridge which was made easier by the movies for the kids.  There were some interesting characters on both trains.  A group of young guys boozing it up from Edinburgh to Petersborough.  A quick train change and then one wasted guy smoking cigarettes in the bathroom, which we were unfortunately sitting right next to.

We arrived in Cambridge just in time to meet the gang including Stephen Hawking for dinner.  When I told Clare and Nick before we went to Cambridge they were going to meet Stephen I explained that he was very smart, maybe one of the smartest men alive.  Clare decided she wanted to check out how smart he was and she would test him by asking him what 10 + 10 equals.  I told him this story and he seemed to find it amusing.

The next day we went touring around Cambridge and got to climb the Tower at Trinity College, courtesy of Malcolm Perry.  Malcolm also took us to the best cheese shop and was kind enough to introduce me to the owner and affinuer.  We rented a row boat and rowed on the Cam, and had a picnic of our cheeses and some amazing ham from Spain - Pato Negro.  After lunch we went for a swim in the hotel pool and had a nice walk around town and dinner al fresco.

On Sunday we met Poupa and Sheridan and Perry for breakfast and went to tour the King's Church?  Poupa was zipping around on his scooter that Sheridan rented for him.  It was great for all of us to be able to get around town together.  We left at about 1pm.
