Reunited with my drinking buddy!

We arrived in Victoria, British Columbia via a hectic stop in Seattle. Our plane touched down in Seattle around 2 hours before the last Clipper left the port that day for Victoria. In a hectic rush we managed to pass customs, collect bags and bustle into a taxi leaving us little over an hour to get to the port. We arrived to see a big line and feared the worst that all the seats may have sold out. Luck was on our side though and we managed to scoop 4 tickets minutes before the kiosk shut! The clipper itself was a cool journey, just over two hours and a nice smooth trip.

We arrived at the port to some of the most thorough customs officials i´ve witnessed, full bag checks, questions about why we were there etc. This was something Patrice was now used to after being searched at every airport we had been to! Something about that Irish passport she thinks! We got out to be greeted by the wonderful Miss Masi who had generously offered to put us up for the best part of 2 weeks! We´d all been so excited to be reunited with Theresa after a year since she left Didsbury to return to her homeland. I´d heard stories that she had changed and grown up, but alas she was still the same vibrant, bubbly character we last knew! We headed back to her place near downtown Victoria, and was each allocated a room (complete with mint on pillow :-) the type of hospitality you would expect from T. The fridge was also brimming with beer, we tucked into this, had a chat and T started a lovely bar-b she had prepared for us.
