Lots to talk about today. Lets break it up!

Diving today was sensational with the extremely clear sky and bright sun. I have never seen water so blue in my life. No i don´t mean sky blue. But real deep turqoise blue. The kinda blue your tongue gets when you eat too many blue lollies.

Diving in Cozumel in my opinion is so much better than the Great Barrier Reef for many reason. The visibility is unreal, sometimes I forget that I am underwater! The water is not anywhere as salty as the ocean in Australia. Most importantly, the reefs are still alive and full of colour!

It dawned upon me during my dive that this to me was life was all about. You can work and work and make as much money you possibly can to fatten your bank account and not have a life of your own, or you could be really happy leading your routine life. Nothing wrong with that. I know I enjoyed working 9 to and heading to the gym in the evenings. But it dawned upon me during my majestic dive that there is so much to see in this world and so much to experience  before we die. It is really good to take a step back and look at life from a different persective instead of worrying about reaching your sales target or being better than someone. But everyone´s priveleged to have their own opinion.

DIVING - The main reason why I am in Cozumel is to log more dives and gain more experience in strong currents so that I will be able to dive in Galapagos Islands. They won´t let you dive unless you´re at an advanced level. The dive operator told me that currents are so strong in Galapagos, some dives require you to be chained to a volcanic rock under water so that you won´t drift away into the abyss!

Before I go on, you have to look at the photo of my divemaster. I had a Mexican Ali G lookalike as a dive master. Can´t remember his name but it was way cool, something like Ontonio.

Palancar Reef was spectacular. Did a backward dive into the ocean and descended down into this hole which turned down to be an entrace from above to a massive cavern. At times I had to be really careful cos the crevices were really narrow. I had my tank hit the corals a few times! Didn´t see too many interesting things except for a giant turtle but I really felt like I was in a starwars movie blazing through a canyon of some sort always inbetween major reefs and flying in and out of holes. We ended the dive by coming up close to a Giant Grouper the size of me.  It didn´t not faze as we swam closer and it came close enough for me to touch it.  As they said, La Groupa Guapa (the beautiful grouper)

Dive 4: Paradise Reef

Truly paradise. This place was just full of colour and life. I was underwater screaming in esctasy after swimming right through a school of Barracudas. They don´t especially look like adorable fishes. I was brave enough to swim up close but backtracked as soon as I caught sight of its razor sharp teeth as they gaped their mouths as I approached (I think it was their way of giving me a warning) For those who don´t know what barracudas are, they are flesh eating fish!.

Currents were extremely strong and had so much trouble trying to keep on track. Caught sight of a giant lobster and giant crab but it was so hard to stay still with the current as strong as 10 knots. It was a work out. Ali G my divemaster told me it was a good choice we dived south of the island. So many divers have disappeared diving up North its not funny.

FOOD

Apples are yellow in Mexico. Manzala Amarillo

I had enough of Fajitas and Tortillas. I´m totally Mex-ed out. But I did find my favourite and staple food now. Pollo Asaro. Thats mexican roast chicken. So damn good! And for those who know my obsession with muesli and yoghurt, MEXICAN MUESLI AND YOGHURT! Ish jialat. Mei you should know ....
