Moroccan Dreams - Casablanca

Bonjour - My plane from Lisbon arrived on-time to Casablanca - I was the only American person on the plane and the only unaccompanied female traveler - I was looked at ALOT - it was interesting.  Not to mention English was no longer used - only Arabic and French so I have some studying to do....

I found my bag, exchanged some money and went to find the train, only to find it was leaving in 1 minute.... So I ran to on board (noticed that my ticket was NOT for the plush, yummy first class I had to walk thru to find 2nd class and was sad to see the sun totally set as we pulled out of the station so I didn't get to see anything on the 45 minute tour into Casablanca.  Got into a cab and off we went to find my fabulous B&B!! Cab driver was great - hates America, was quick to inform me, told me not to get into any car that didn't have a number on the roof (good tip) and provided me with all sorts of anti Bush sentiment.  Nice way to begin Morocco - I arrive at the B&B and my Innkeepers couldn't be more kind, helpful and really really sweet.  I have free wireless - super  big plus - and all the dates, nuts & apricots I can eat!! It is a totally "Moroccan" home decorated exactly the way I would have done it - so I love it!!! I'll take some pics tomorrow.  Breakfast is at 7:30 (yikes) so I will have a jump on the day to play!! So far I couln't be happier about my room, the location and the prospect of really great Moroccan cuisine!!
