Hiking in the Pyrennees
From Eurotour 2006 in Etsaut, France on Aug 08 '06
They say that the hindsight is 100%. If I look back on our little two-day hike in the Pyrénées, I would have to say that either we were very naïve, or that we were very badly informed. Fortunately, we both had enough experience as hikers to be able to survive, so I would have to conclude that we were not naïve, but rather very badly informed. It is with this drastic lack of information that we set out to conquer the Pyrenees on a beautiful sunny August morning. Indeed, as we scaled along the path that was carved into the sheer rock face of the cliff that led us into the ancient mountains that create the great divide between France and Spain, we were oblivious of the fact that it would take us another seven hours to find rest and repast.
We did a huge hike. Here's a link to the map of the area we hiked: Map of Lacs d'Ayous
