News Flash: travelling by yourself, is a very different experience...

But i made it. so far at least.  Left Ivor at Athens Airport waiting to catch a flight back to London, while i headed off to Milano.  Tell you what, im glad we had that week in Greece to get used to travelling in foreign country - though Greece makes it pretty easy, with most signs having an English interpretation - not so in Italy! The smattering of Italian i learned from that night course came in handy trying to navigate my way through one shuttle buses and three Metro rides.  i did attempt to visit the Duomo Cathedral, but being my first time standing is a crowded Piazza carrying a disturbingly large backpack and daypack, i got as far as standing against the wall at the edge, and watching for about 5 minutes. Maybe next time ill make it inside.  looked fascinating though.
