Ex's mouth is quite some hole.

We were planning on having a couple of days in Exmouth, heading round the cape and spending some time round on the seaward side of the peninsular. However, despite our planning, "glorious gloria" had other ideas. We coughed and spluttered our way to Exmouth and so had to spend the time waiting for a garage appointment instead of getting round the cape.

So with her 3rd fuel filter of the trip and a night wasted in Exmouth we just wanted to head back to coral bay as it was so nice and Exmouth was so rubbish.

Imagine Bracknell, with more bare earth, and with no buildings over a storey tall, set out on one straight road. Thats almost as un-picturesque as Exmouth. We had the impression that it was by a beach, but that was 3kms away, and probably not very nice. The west coast of the peninsular was 100kms away and Coral Bay was 150, so we took the option of what we knew was nice, plus on the way back to Perth should Gloria start to go wrong again.

Thats that, if you're heading north from Perth, it's another day to get up and back on the exmouth road, don't worry with Exmouth, just go to Coral Bay. It's small, but it has a beach, doesn't look like a giant building site and is only 30 metres to the Reef!
