...were nowhere to be seen but the set of Miami Vice is all around.  1930's candy-colourd hotels, neon lights, Versace's mansion, palm trees, pet crocodiles, ferraris, fast ladies, drug busts, and police chases all over the place. Ok, so we got a bit carried away at the palm trees but the rest is true :o).

Spent a couple of days admiring the art deco of Miami South Beach.  We continue to drag the appaling British weather with us - Miami had the coldest November in the weather man's memory, although it was actaully a bit hot by our standards - the big soft Yanks.  We put our toes in the sea, and to be fair it was a bit nippy.  Saw a couple of pampered pooches: one wearing a t-shirt, baseball cap and necktie; another fluffy white canine being transported in a pink pushchair.
