The first thing that hits you about Popayan is white.  All the buildings are white.  The second thing that hits you about Popayan is that the first thing to hit you is pretty much the only thing that hits you about Popayan.

Still, it's a pleasant little place to relax for a while and try and update a blog that you haven't done anything with for months and months.  And that's exactly what I did.  Also bought a pair of trainers and saw some guy selling little chickens that he'd spray painted in fluorescent colours.  Bizarre.
