07th- Took the bus to Marseille and looked around and were like, ewww... it is so dirty and so much graffitti, we want to go back to Nice. We found a second hand shop while we were looking for the nicer area and Cook bought pants. Then found the tourist office and the historic area. That part was nice. They told us how to get to the hostel, we wnt and checked in, in a nice suburb but far from the sights. Then walked to a market and then the beach. Soooo windy again, to windy to sit by the water and eat so we hid next to a building. Then went to the hostel and read. Went to bed.

08th- Got up and walked to the metro station, which usually you take a bus to. Toured the historic area, the basket, and the fort and took the tourist train up to the Cathedral, the statue of the Virgin and Jesus is HUGE. It is quite small inside, but a big building. Beautiful views. Then walked back to the hostel and read again.

I hate wind, ok not really

09th- In the morning we wanted to go to Chatau d'If, from The Count of Monte Cristo before we left. We walked to the metro only to get to the ferry office in time to be told it was too windy to go. That book was my whole reason for going to Marseille, so I was majorly bummed. We went to the beach and back to the hostel to get our stuff. Continued in next entry.
