Elvis has left the building

In the morning we went to the ryman auditorium. its pretty much like the church of country music! it was fun! we had our picture taken pretending we were rocking out on stage and just absorbed the country music history! meika you would love nashville. lots of sexy cowboys everywhere! we left nashville and started heading towards memphis with a stop in amish country. it was so crazy. they were ridding there buggys on the road and selling stuff from there houses.the young amish boys were hot! and the little kids were adorable! there were heaps of cows and horses and we saw some bison! so cool. we got a little lost and ran into some road blocks but eventually made it out and back into the 21st century!

Scored in Beale Street

we needed to fill up the wiper fluid cause of all the bugs that get squished on the wind screen so we stopped at a little gas station. mum stayed outside trying to figure out how to open the bonnet and natty and i went in to buy some water. 3 words for you guys. "texas chainsaw massacre" haha. it was freaky! the kids were manning the counter whilst there dad was out the back. we both needed to pee so they told us the bathroom was out the back past the kitchen! EEP! the lights werent on and we both feared for our lives! so we went as fast as we could and got the fuck out of there!

we drove into memphis at sunset and it was our first night drive. it was really pretty! our hotel has the most comfy beds which are very welcomed! we arrived just before 8 got changed and went out on the town! it was so cool! the main street beale street was blocked off from traffic and you could drink beers on the street!!! so of course we sat down at the kings palace cafe, ordered fried alligator, fried green tomatoes and some beers.. YUM! the food was lush!

we were just sitting there checking out the people and chilling out to the music when a young man walked up behind me. i was a bit scared but kinda excited that a boy wanted to talk to me. so i turned around and he looked at me then turned straight to mum and asked her if she wanted to go over with him and have a shot! haha shut down mel! i was so sad that the YOUNG man wanted to bang my mum and not me.haha

we then went for a wander up beale st. it had such a great atmosphere everyone was so happy..or just really drunk!! memphis is great i wish we had more time to check it all out properly..

Hi there. Am travelling to Memphis in September this year and am wondering where's a safe/decent place to stay, that's not too expensive. I'm female and I'll be travelling alone. Thanks :)
