If you didnt already know, I spent this summer in NYC working and relaxing. I couldnt have planned a better summer. The best part is that my mom is in Philadelphia for the summer so not only did i get to be in one of myfavorite cities in the world but I got to take a couple of trips to see my mom.

I spent this summer working with The Builders Association, a NY based multimedia theatre company. It was a great project and it looks like my time with them will extend through next year. YAY!

So now I'm preparing for this trip to Rwanda and Uganda. I leave tomorrow and I'm a little nervous. Anxious not nervous. Well either way, I've managed to unpack and repack my suitcase at least 5 times in the past week. Laboring over what books to bring, how many pairs of socks, drawers. Do I have enough essentials. Is my camera safe. Journal, check. Lotion, check, Mosquito repellent, check. water tablets, check. Ticket, check. 5 times guys. I've gone through this at least 5 times. At this point I think I have everything (famous last words) so the last thing I have to pack is my spirit (may I remain open and willing on this journey) and my eyes (may they remain open and ready on this journey). Check back in a few days for more. I get there on Friday.
